Joy Dunigan, Propagating the Local Art Scene
The Photopoint Gallery has been open for almost 8 years, 7 of which it has indulged in hosting two of Richmond Hill’s largest and most popular local art events, the Holiday Artist Collective and Arts on the Coast Annual Exhibit. It all started because Joy, and co-Owner Greg Elmgren wanted to give back to the community, especially since there was an absence of shows and exhibits being held in a dedicated art gallery setting.
Dunigan to be Featured in $300 and Under for Location Gallery Holiday Show
Photopoint Gallery artist in residence Joy Dunigan will be featured in $300 and Under Holiday art exhibit, hosted by the Location Gallery located at 251 Bull Street (corner of Liberty St.) in Savannah, GA. $300 & Under is a giant show of small works-all affordably priced for holiday shopping. Gallery profits from show are donated to programs at WRUU Community Radio.
High Tide/Low Country Exhibit Gives Focus to the Art of Photography, Show Closes on November 21
Often revered, but more frequently overlooked, photography is perceived as easy, hence why the Photopoint Gallery in Richmond Hill, Ga. chose to present a show solely dedicated to the medium. High Tide/Low Country is a group exhibit which features 13 of the area’s finest working artists/photographers that are as diverse as the genre itself.

Two images of Ossabaw Island — How to Get to Heaven from Georgia and Ossabaw Tabby, have been selected as part of The Southern Landscape, a photographic exhibition hosted by the South x Southeast Photo Gallery located in Molena, GA. The reception for the exhibit happens Saturday, January 4 from 5-7 p.m. The complete show dates are January 4 through February 28, 2020.

Sneak-a-peek at some new, experimental work from Joy Dunigan at the Arts on the Coast’s Art Nite happening October 25. The work remains wildlife, landscape, vista focused, with a simple twist on photography and broad swatches of color.

Local Large Format works on a much smaller scale will go on display at the Arts on the Coast’s Art Nite opening on August 2nd. Ossabaw Island focused, first-edition photographs — Ossabaw Posse, Ossabaw Tabby and How to Get to Heaven From Georgia (featured on the cover of Reflections Magazine) are snapshot examinations of one of Georgia’s most beloved and mysterious sea islands — Ossabaw.
Ode to Snoopy
Photopoint artist Joy Dunigan will be featured at the Location Gallery’s forthcoming “Happiness Is” Opening. It will feature art inspired by Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang by Various Artists. Gallery profits from show are donated to Park Place Outreach.
