Local Large Format works on a smaller scale will go on display at the Arts on the Coast’s Art Nite opening on August 2nd.
Ossabaw Island focused, first-edition photographs: Ossabaw Posse, Ossabaw Tabby and How to Get to Heaven From Georgia (featured on the cover of Reflections Magazine) are snapshot examinations of one of Georgia’s most beloved and mysterious sea islands, Ossabaw.
How to Get to Heaven from Georgia - This photograph spotlights the famous gates to Ms. Sandy Torrey-West’s enchanted mansion. Elegant and standing many feet tall, they whisper of a time gone by, the entrance to somewhere very magical and inspiring, coming or going.
Ossabaw Posse - Behold the actors and the real celebrities of Ossabaw Island, Sandy’s compact herd of Sicilian donkey’s. They are the true beneficiaries of Ossabaw as it is their home, alongside many other wild species of plants and animals that inhabit the island, including a confirmed 500 sea turtle nests in 2019 alone.
Ossabaw Tabby - The strikingly-simple architectural features of Ossabaw’s restored Tabbies depict the Foundation’s ongoing historical preservation efforts. Through them, Ossabaw exudes the stunning beauty of a simple life.
